Hats Off

Mei Ann says, KAYA!

In 2005, my husband and I decided to spend New Year's Eve out of town. We don't want to spend too much money so I searched the Internet for an overnight stay at a 3-star hotel with dinner and show. Lo and behold .... I found something like $60/person. Drove for 2 hours from our place to the country side. Can't complain ... the room was pretty, the steak dinner was sumptuous and show was hilarious. The only thing was that, except for me and my hubby, all the people in the room were LOLOs and LOLAs!!! Yes it was a gig for 60 years and older!!!! They gave these HATS for us to wear and they were dancing to the tune of Broadway music. Oh we had fun. Since then, every New Year's Eve that we are at home, we made it a point to wear the hats and reminisce the fun of that funny evening!

On the side, our HATS OFF to our elders!

Journaling:
Oh yeah! These hats are made for Broadway singing/dancing which we love to do every New Year's Eve (after several glasses of wine)! We missed them in '08 because were in San Fransisco. See us wearing them again in '09!

Materials Used:
Cardstock (Citrus Neopolitan, K&Company), Paper Pizzazz (black/white dots), flower, foam letters, gem brad, crystal flower stickers, Color Box fluid chalk inkpad, glue dots, ZIG pen and feather from the hat

Techniques Used:
Detailed cutting, distressing

About ME:
I'm Mei Ann, loving and living life as it unfolds. Thanks for the opportunity.
