My parents instilled in me [and my siblings] the importance of prayers. I remember family prayers every 6:00 in the evening. It is a solemn time, a peaceful time. It made me feel good about everything afterwards.
I treasure this box of prayers that my parents gave me years ago. For me, these are prayers not for me to recite, but prayers my parents ask of God for me, all placed in this little box. It is my parents' wishes, hopes, and desires, for everything best for me. It is their voices I hear telling me of the goodness and greatness of the Lord.
