(Mod's Note: Sorry, we received the layout 1:54 am of June 28, 2007, so it did not meet the deadline. But we do appreciate and we'd like to show off your submission by still posting it here. We also hope your son is much better.)

About ME:

Hi i'm Abby, I started scrapbooking way back 2002 but got really addicted to it early 2005. Now my LOs are my stress tabs. I will feel happy even by just looking at patterned papers. My LOs are mostly about other people because even when I was a kid I was kind of afraid of being photographed (well I think now I have overcome being camera shy). I love hand-cutting patterned papers though I am really not very good at it. I wish I have that talent to doodle. My hand writing is very bad. I just started my scrap blog www.myscraphaven.blogspot.com. Enjoy scrapping! =)

Upon learning about this challenge, I thought to myself, "I would love to be part of it!" But I couldn't think of any scrappage idea. I guess the deadline pushed me to come up with this one.

Dannah @ 10

Timi says, KAYA!

Journaling Reads (hidden tag under title):

Dearest Dannah,

How fast time flies! I can still remember the day you were born, 10 years ago. You were a very special baby girl being born prematurely (35 weeks). You stayed in the incubator for 12 days due to infection. Then there was this problem in your digestive system. Thank God you were not operated on. That would have given me so much pain.

Look at you today at 10…who would say that you had encountered those difficulties when you were still a baby? You grew up to be a smart, healthy, talented, generous and kind-hearted girl! Carry on with these traits. For sure these will help you achieve your goals in life. A reminder though, do not be too generous as you may be taken advantage of by not so good people around. I can see that you have a tendency to give everything you have even if it means nothing is left for you. A word of advice… keep a little something for yourself. It always pays when you do some things in moderation. It will bring me much pain when I see you get hurt.

Always remember that I love you so much. Big girl as you are today, I will always remember you as my sweet little baby, a survivor till the end.

Love,

Materials Used:
DCWV patterned paper, Bazzill cardstock, Paper Pizzas vellum, silk flower, brads, ribbons, rickracks, lace, Gin-X letter coasters, acrylic paint, fibers

About ME:
Married to Danny for 12 years and blessed with two wonderful kids, Jigs(12) and Dannah (10). A College Professor by profession, I have been teaching Crop Science at UP Los Banos for 14 years. I'm a member of the LB Scrapaholics with Cors, Liezl, Issa, Helga and Rita. It was in the year 2000 when I completed my very first scrapbook. It was a gift to my husband in celebration of his 30th Birthday, our 11th Valentine's Day together and our 5th Wedding Anniversary. My next project was my son's preschool years completed in 2002. To date, I have a total of 16 scrapbooks although it was just recently that I started using 12X12 papers and acid -free supplies. I'm fond of joining challenges because it helps me improve my craft. Challenges allow me to experiment and create designs I never thought I am capable of doing. I intend to continue with this hobby-turned-into a passion (or maybe obsession) even after my retirement years.

Mood Swings

Marix says, KAYA!

My handwriting is awful, I rarely handwrite my journal but I think this LO calls for it. It's hard to read but it's actually meant to be a doodle accent so I think I should be forgiven.

Journaling:
(An excerpt from one of my previous blog entries)
There are times I tend to be aloof, quiet, stubborn, outrageously incomprehensible...that's my nature, those who knew me very well like my Mama would often ignore me when such syndrome attacks, she doesn't question my unimaginable, unpredictable behavior much less nags about it, she just let it come to pass, which eventually will... call it mood swings =)

Materials Used:
Luxe, BamPop & Imagination Project pps, Grant die cut letters, Love Elsie cardstock Roxie stickers, Prima flower, letter beads, buttons, jewels, Foamtastics, Sizzix flower die, Hero Arts clear stamp, black & white Uniball Signo pen

Techniques Used/Process:
Paper cutting, doodling, stamping (birds)

About ME:
Hi! I'm Marix, single and currently working as a Systems Analyst in Singapore. I've been scrapbooking since highschool but never knew such a term ever existed. Back then I've been using magazines to cut out titles and images and used the magnetic albums which sadly are all not acid free. I only discovered the term scrapbooking and acid free in 2004 and have been doing it since then. It was on and off until I became addicted to it last year. I scraplift, use sketches and find inspiration through advertisements. I'm a traditional scrapper and haven't tried digital yet. I consider myself as a free style scrapper who loves embellishments and texture in a layout. You can view my other layouts at www.scrappalific.blogspot.com.

Water Baby

Raissa says, KAYA!

This layout is very simple. Although the LO was easy to do, I had a hard time with this challenge. It was the conceptualization that really got me.

Journaling:
You were initially fearful of the pool, but once you saw the other kids playing, you plunged right in and forgot about your fear.

Live daringly, boldly and fearlessly. - Henry Kaiser

Materials Used:
Bazzill CS, acrylic paint and Carl Craft punch.

Techniques:
Roller brushed paint on the cardstock. Used star craft punch for the border. The green stars were torn from green cardstock and matted in black CS. Used paper puncher to put green dots on the title.

About ME:
I'm Raissa, a 29 year-old single, who's probably the only person here in Vigan hooked to this hobby. I got into scrapbooking when I chanced upon old scrapbook magazines in a book sale. I just started last November 2006 but has been hooked ever since. Even if I'm fairly new to this craft, I believe that joining challenges will help develop my skills. Furthermore, scrapping to me is a great stress buster and a good outlet for creativity, so win or lose, I SCRAP. I'm also into tennis, photography, nature trips and swimming and I'm trying to learn digital scrapbooking and card making too. I hope that one day i will be able to influence more people here to join me in this wonderful hobby. (Learn more about Raissa at www.purplesea-lookingforanswers.blogspot.com.)
