I'll Always Remember...

Marissa says, KAYA!

My parents instilled in me [and my siblings] the importance of prayers. I remember family prayers every 6:00 in the evening. It is a solemn time, a peaceful time. It made me feel good about everything afterwards.

I treasure this box of prayers that my parents gave me years ago. For me, these are prayers not for me to recite, but prayers my parents ask of God for me, all placed in this little box. It is my parents' wishes, hopes, and desires, for everything best for me. It is their voices I hear telling me of the goodness and greatness of the Lord.

Journaling reads:

I'll always REMEMBER my parents' teachings. I do not need a boxful of prayers to read. My nightly private conversations with the Lord comes deep within my heart.

Materials used:

Black cardstock, scraps byMy Mind's Eye, flower cut-outs from a patterned paper [sorry I forgot which one], Prima flowers, Colorbox fluid chalk used around the Prima flowers; bling from Darice, Fiskars Threading Water punch, foam dots, K&Co Blue Awning journaling tag.

Techniques:

Nothing much - just cutting and glueing, some distressing on the prima flowers with Yellow Citrus fluid chalk,

About Me:
I am a pack-rat. I am a paper addict.
I am a Lindor extra extra dark truffle chocoholic. I am an ex-Frango Mint-aholic. I am a digital scrapbooker.
