Fruits I Grew Up Eating

Michelle says, KAYA!

This is mini book I created about “ME”. And one of my topics are about the fruits I grew up eating as a child in the Philippines. I left Philippines when I was only 12 years old. Thankfully almost the whole family is in the states so I am able to eat Filipino food growing up. But the one thing I miss the most and constantly crave are the fruits I grew up eating. I can remember looking forward to the times when I can go to the province where my grandma live, to be able to play in the farm and pick the fruits right off of the trees. It was an amazing experience! My kids will never know that kind of play. But I want to share with them, at least the knowledge about the things I had when I was a kid in PI and share my love for the fruits that only Philippines can offer.

Materials used:
Altered Kit paper
Craft paper for fold outs
Target chipboard letters
Prima mini flowers
Staples

Techniques:
Cut up Craft paper to mat pictures and leave a half an inch on one side to create a gate fold affect. For the space of one 4x6 pictures you can put as many as you want using the gate fold technique. Here I was able to put 7 pictures but took up room for one.

About Me:
I have been scrapbooking for almost 10 years now. I started out being introduce through stamping and started scrapping while I was pregnant with my first child. I was hooked and never looked back. I have always had a love for papers since I can remember. And now as an adult I can actually play and buy all the papers I want to heart’s content. I love scrapbooking because I love creating, I have a lot of ideas in my head and if I don’t get it out I will go crazy. It is my outlet, my joy and passion. I am lucky enough to have such a supporting husband and kids who leave me alone and let me play. Lol!!

I bow my head in shame. I'm here in the land of these fruits and I didn't even think of making a mini-album or LO about them. I love it, especially how it opens up to different photos. TFS.
