[Imagine] Halloweeny

Marissa says, KAYA!

I thought it is just perfect to make a Halloween layout and greeting card since all Hallow's Evenin' is just around the corner. This is a picture of my DD dressed in an Egyptian attire. There was a bonfire and Halloween party at one of her friends' backyard [close to an open field, thank goodness!] Thank you, Marix for this challenge! I had fun using my forgotten decorative-edge scissors.

Journaling:

There's not much of a journaling. I did not glue the entire mat [of diamond-patterned paper] so DD can later add her own journaling and hide it back there.

Materials used:

Archiver's black cardstock DCWV orange cardstock; pumpkin cut-outs from a DCWV patterned paper; cut-out leaves and diamond-patterned paper by Deja Views; Provo-Craft Halloween tag; various decorative-edge scissors; foam dots for dimension.

Techniques:
I cut out the pumpkins from patterned paper and glued them twice on a white cardstock for thickness and dimension. I curled the tips of the cut-out leaves to get the feel and look of real dried leaves; I curled portions of the edges of the mat; hand-cut the edges of the tag "Imagine".

About ME:
I started with traditional scrapbooking and ended up making digital layouts. The primary reason is the bulk of photo albums. I remember hauling boxes of them from one place to another. But my love for making things with my own hands out-weighs digital technology.

I love scrapbooking and making cards. Lately, I've been adding more dimensions to my layouts and cards, although I really wouldn't now know how to store them! Eventually everything will probably flatten out when albums will be put away for safe-keeping. But right now, while they all look crisp and cute, I'll enjoy looking, admiring, and showing them off. TFL.
