Constant Changes

Lee says, KAYA!

This is a very simple layout which took me less than an hour to make. Surely, deciding which non-stamp item to use took the longest. I used only one patterned paper and worked around its design. I think it's perfect as it is. Just like my oldest (age 11) who is growing up so fast I can hardly keep up.

You used to listen to classical music at 98.7 The Master's Touch. Now you prefer Chico and Delamar's ramblings at Monster RX 93.1 FM.

You used to kiss and hug me without inhibitions. Now public displays of affection are taboo.

You used to reluctantly answer the phone when your classmates call you. Now you are asking, no, demanding for an i-phone.

But despite the changes brought about by your growing up, you still fight your sisters for the privilege of sleeping beside me at night. Some things will never change. But I still have to brace myself for constant changes.

Materials Used:
DCWV PPS; Heidi Swapp chipboards; Making Memories letter stickers; Sakura pen; Tsukineko and Ranger ink pads; Making Memories, Inque Boutique and Inkadinkado stamps, Daisy Ds rubons.

Technique Used:
Cut around some images on the PPS so I can insert the photo. I used a small rattan coaster to stamp on th PPS (non-stamp) and script rubber stamp on the title. I dabbed some walnut ink on the white chipboards to dirty them up a bit.

About ME:
It feels good to scrap and actually finish a layout. I haven't scrapped in so long I've been suffering withdrawal symptoms. If you want to know more about me, come visit my scrapping blog or my food blog. Yup! Eating is another hobby that I am trying to hone into perfection. :-)

Thank you, Bjay, for this challenge. I have way too many virgin stamps for my taste. Hopefully, I will get the hang of stamping (and the required cleaning up.)

thanks for "de-virginizing" some of your stamps and for using this prized photo you photoshopped specifically for this challenge.

hi lee. :) the 'changes' you see in your son, i feel as early as today (and my son is only almost 7 years old). but isn't it just so sweet that sometimes, they still are momma's boys. hihihi.

by the way, i love the page. it screams boy and pede pa lift hehe.

As always panalo tlga ang journaling, and the way you wrote it in the guitar and your stamping complemented the pp as well. I got tons of virgin stamps din, sana magamit ko din :)
