Made Up Geisha

Mei Ann says, KAYA!

Woohoo! I thought I will not be able to meet the deadline due to my crazy work schedule. I love stamping and could not let this challenge pass by without participating. Thanks BJ! I really had fun working on this LO. You made me think hard to come up with non-professional stamp item. I hope you'll like it as much as I enjoy making it.

Journaling:
I love anything associated to Japanese culture particularly the beautiful Geisha of Kyoto. I can't get enough of the mysteries surrounding their lives ... that of beauty and sacrifice.

Materials:
Non-professional stamp item was made from a piece of lace that I attached to a wine cork with a glue dot.

Papers: Basic grey {urban prairie}, {element boarder sticker}, Making Memories {small dots}, and various Chiyogami papers
Stamps: Hero Arts {Japanese dolls collection}, Inkadinkado {Asian Influences}
Embellishments: Making Memories shimmer alpha, gems, rick rack trim, cherry blossoms stickers, Prima paper flowers, button, Martha Stewart butterfly paper punch.

Technique:
Acrylic stamps - The bamboos and pagoda were stamped directly on the LO. The green flowerettes stamped on the bamboos are the results of the piece of lace I attached to a wine cork for easy stamping. The Japanese dolls/geisha are stamped on chiyogami papers to create an authentic kimono effect. I trimmed them and attached them to the head of the dolls that were stamped separately on a piece of white card stock.
