No Apologies & Serious Sucks

Bjay says, KAYA!

I was doing hybrid na pala long before the term was coined and made known. I can totally see the charm it does in finishing off a layout's overall look. It kinda makes it truly your own.

Here's my take for Kaya 23's "scrapbook-forward" challenge. Thanks, kabayang Alby!

Journaling:
If I don't fit the mold
If I make my own rules
If I am not your cup of tea
If I can prove you wrong

Materials Used:
Patterned papers - Prima, Scenic Route & Glitz Designs; Alphas - Scenic Route stickers and undressed Thickers; Scenic Route chipboard, Staz-On (black) and Colorbox (red and black) inkpads, Diamod Glaze, Staedler pen

Hybrid technique:
BeFunky.com photo action (free download), printed bars on acetate sheet, and printed journaling using Ligurino Condensed pt.18 (white on grey background)

April Fools! No other opportune moment to post Bjay's late entry to Kaya 23 than today. It's still an awesome layout regardless that it was a few minutes late. And as if to atone for lateness, Bjay has an early bird prize for her Kaya 24 challenge. So send those layouts in ASAP. (- the Mod)

In the meantime, here's the real sample layout for the latest challenge.

Okay, so I have conquered my fear of stamping! For now. This is the single, most stamped layout I have done in my entire scrapbooking career (career?!). Despite the limited stamp resource I have in my possession, I actually had fun doing this.

Sub-title:
Seriously. 3/09

Materials used:
Patterned papers: Glitz Designs and Scrapworks; CS: Bazzill; Thickers; Inks: black Colorbox and Stazon; paints: Semco (yellow) and Kaisercraft (aqua); Around The Block big metal "smiley" brad, Fiskars sunburst punch, Maya Road girl chipboard, Studio Azul grid stamp, Diamond Glaze, Sakura pen and my own Crocs (yes! read on.)

Technique:
Non-stamp item: I used my right Crocs shoe and dabbed on some black Stazon to stamp the tracks onto the Scrapworks orange patterned paper.

Acrylic Stamp: I used the Studio Azul grid stamp to create a pattern on the girl chipboard.

About Me:
I think I can get used to stamping after all. Summer has taken its toll on me... I am now craving halo-halo everyday! Good thing Digman's in just in the neighborhood. Blogging here!

Wow! Ang galing naman. Yesterday bigla ko lang naisip na baka tungkol sa stamping ang next challenge. Then i was surprised when i read the challenge here this morning. Hehe may ESP na ba ko? Lol.

Who would've thought that Crocs could be used for stamping. Hehe! Very clever. May naisip na ko for your challenge but haven't got the time to scrap yet. Sana maumpisahan ko agad. Great LOs as usual! :)

You are one talented artist Bjay! You really inspire me.

Can't wait to start on your challenge. Stamping is so dear to me but I have to think of something non-stamp as per your rule #2. This is exciting! Cheers!
