At Last

Arnie says, KAYA!

Just randomly heard this song in one of my online collection of jazz tunes and immediately fell in love with it. The lyrics and the way the song was sung struck a chord that it stuck like crazy glue in my head. It was originally sung by Etta James and was used in the movie soundtrack of "Wall-E", then currently a remake by Beyonce in her movie where she portrayed the legendary Etta James.

It reminded me of how I spent Valentines Day the past 37 years of of my life with my folks and my friends (not that I'm complaining!) Looking back now during hospital duty, I felt I was everyone's savior volunteering 24 hours duty every Valentine's Day since I had no one special to celebrate it with anyway. But since 2008, my life took a turn when I fell in love with Edison - now my husband and soon to be the father of our baby boy this February 23. Just feels so heavenly to be with someone to call my own - at last!

At last my love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song

At last, The skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped up in clover
The night I looked at you

I found a dream, that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to press my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known

You smile, and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
For you are mine..... at last!

About ME:
I am Laarni "Arnie" Pedrosa Uy from Taguig City. I am a pathologist by profession and blessed with my better half, Edison. I got into scrapbooking when my younger sister gave me my first scrapbook as a birthday gift in 2002, and since then I got hooked. I couldn't say that I have a style of my own, but I always turn out happy and fulfilled in whatever the result my eclectic whim comes up with. It has been more than a year now since I got into digital scrapbooking. And although I am no expert at this, it has helped me in so many delightful ways to cope up with my incessantly hectic and crazy schedule. Do visit me at
