Tin says: KAYA!
I am a self-confessed magazine junkie, another "quirk" of mine. From yoga, to photography, computer arts, running, scrapbooking (of course!), stamping, food, computers, interior design, even Psychology Today, etc. It's all there. Spring cleaning every few months still doesn't help, because days later, I come home with bags of mags once more. My yaya just sighs in exasperation . . . ligpit na naman.
Journaling:
Yes, I acknowledge the fact that I am a JUNKIE . . . a magazine junkie. Growing up I drowned myself in LIFE (it was twice the size back then), BOP, Tiger Beat, MOD and Panorama. This list is much longer now and I have made it a fact that I will never have a permanent magazine rack. These glossy compilations are everywhere, the sofa, the bed, bathroom, kitchen counter, bags and even the car.
Subscribing internationally is torture and often times I can't wait so I end up buying it locally anyway. Passing up a news stand is like passing up a gooey chocolate cake.
I know I need help . . . But i'm on the road to recovery, after all the first step is
ACCEPTANCE ;-)
Materials Used:
Paper Pizzaz black cardstock, notebook paper, Brilliance ink, Ancient Page ink, white Uniball, blue Zig photo signatures, Nostalgique vintage buttons, Hero Arts stamp London R & Impressions, Making Memories font stamps
Technique: tearing, stamping
About ME:
I'm a single mom to a 16 year-old crazy teen and a 6 year-old equally kooky son. Being creative has always been in the family, we paint, sketch, do digital arts, make wedding cakes and doodle on our hands in our spare time. Originally a rubber stamper, I've been scrapbooking on and off since 2000 but have just began being a 100% certified scrapaholic since 2006. I work in our family business taking care of our advertising needs for our footwear, I am also often in front of the computer designing for our slippers. I guess that's why I would prefer to be a traditional scrapper and digital is kept to a minimum. My style varies depending on my mood, from clean lines to freestyle I always try to let myself do new things . It's either I'm adventurous or I just have a short attention span. hi Tin! Love your LO! Parang page sa isang magazine which is aptly so because the LO is about magazines pa.
Awww...Tin, what can I say? You must have absorbed all the ideas and beautiful LOs from the magazines you've been reading. This is very creative. And I admire the fearless way you just wrote your journaling across the photo. (Psssttt...pag may nabili kang dobleng magazine, akin na lang, ha? Hehehe).
tin, i love the overall design of this LO! really got hooked when i saw it. all thumbs all up to u!
hi tin! i love this lo! u know what meron ka n agad style. i like how you make your los so easy to look at :)
Tin, love your style, girl! It's so carefree with a distinctive character and hindi sya nakakasawa tingnan. Great job! =) Nina
'love that notebook paper going on there...wanted to do that for the longest time pero slightly torn ako ng guilt using non-scrap stuff (very slightly lang naman, hehehe) and needed to find the right look of notebook paper...wala kasi akong makitang Mead sa National w/c i wanted! pero Lee brought a similar notebook sa EB last Sun at nakaamut ako (thanks Lee!)
love your style too!...may pagka-Freestyle-ish na kinababaliwan ko these days...You're so brave writing on the pic!...di ko pa makuha yang tapang na yan, ang panget kasi ng sulat ko...hehehe...
very, very nice LO, sis!
