TREASURE CANYON COVE

Janis says, KAYA!

I'm sooo excited with this Kaya Challenge because it's my first take on
making an album. I have been meaning to make one (bought the chipboard
album from Dinah more than two months ago) - - thank God the family
getaway, the inspiration and this challenge came along. ;o)

The album doubles as a wedding anniversary gift to my hubby (who I'm
pretty sure prefers to receive an action figure or a comic book but will
acknowledge my "artistic" efforts anyway LOL). Siguro ang hihingin kong
kapalit another family getaway so that I can get my pictures for a new
album. ;o)

Materials:
patterned papers (sorry, forgot from which brands - - I
got them from Lasting Impression upon the suggestion of Lisa), dcwv
glittered cardstocks, aas handmade papers, ribbon, glittered stickers, gem
conchos, brads and foam, prima flowers, mm crystal brads, blings, UBL
rub-ons, chipboard album, cuttlebug dies (hippie chick, typewriter,
babyface, curls and swirls, tiny tags), chipboard swirls, felt diecut
flower, acrylic paints, white magic from craftworld, various cloth and
paper ribbons , mm stamps, faber castell marker

Techniques:
Diecutting, distressing, doodling, tearing, matting. I
handmade/improvised the chipboard swirls and painted them with acrylic
paints then glazed with white magic.

About ME:
I still consider myself a newbie at scrapbooking - - still trying to decipher what my scrapping style is... I'm currently in love with acrylic paints - - it's fun to experiment making improvised embellishments with them... my favorite LO subjects are my kids.... a day is never complete without me kissing their armpits as they grimace and shriek with glee....

What a beautiful album Ms. Janis! Pareho pala tayo, my bf would’ve preferred a comic book than a mini-album I gave him on our 10th anniv last March! =)

Great job on this one!

First time ito?! Get out of here :D This is what I would call a well put-together album. Maganda ang color choices... may repetitive element (yung scroll - that was pretty smart of you)... may sense of order ang mga pics (beautiful cropping of the pics. You've got the eye for photography, baby)... & wonderful sense of balance. You should really be proud of yourself :D
