i'm so ThaNKFuL

Roxannee says, KAYA!

I am not really a fan of Valentine's Day but then, this month's topic is about expressing your feelings to your loved ones through a song and my latest favourite add on to a lay out is stitching! Ethan's sweetness, Ashton's kisses and Ron's cuddles just complete me as a person. I am truly blessed to have such affectionate, loving and caring boys in my life. Their LoVe is an everyday gift and for that I am so thankful. For the song I felt that Jim Brickman and Martina McBride's The Gift is just spot on.

Journaling:
but the colors fade away
and the years will make us grey
but baby in my eyes
you'll still be beautiful

all I want is to hold you forever
all I need is you more every day
you saved my heart
from being broken apart
you gave your love away
I can't find the words to say
that I'm thankful every day
for the gift

Materials Used:
Cor'dinations cardstock (matches with hubby's jeans methinks), pps by heidi grace & grant, dmc embroidery floss, tim holtz distress ink in walnut, alphabet stamps, zig pen,ac thickers jewelry box alpha chipboard, red paint, heart cutouts from textured paper. Fonts used: susie's handwriting and gorillaz.

Techniques used:
tearing, inking, free hand cutting, stamping and stitching

About ME:

Hi I'm Roxannee and each day, I am gifted with love and affection from the 3 boys in my life.

love the colors you used girl. :) pretty layout for a very nice song.

i can relate with your choices. hirap din ng lalake ang mga models noh? hihihi. i am challenging myself to use pink papers and flower embellies for a layout for son and hubby. {di kaya ako manose bleed, hihihi}

ganda nga nung circles!!! paano yun sis? paint ba yun tapos ginamit mo instead of brush cap ng marker?

Yes it's just the cap of a pentel pen...dabbed it in paint and that's it! I tend to play around with things these days...I have also tried painting on bubble wrap then stamped it on paper.
