Eye Glasses

Marian says, KAYA!

Although my eyeglasses are not a favorite thing, it is something I need to enjoy my favorite things and activities.

Journaling:
I used to have really good eyesight until about 2 years ago. I had to focus longer just to read a book. Glasses were not an option as it was an inconvenience and a telling sign of age. Gradually my eyesight became worse with letters merging into each other. The crafts I enjoyed doing like beading and scrapbooking became a chore. and so I finally junked vanity for practical reasons. Now I have a pair of glasses in my bag, beside my bed, on the dresser, beside the computer and in the car.

Materials Used:
Echoes of Asia digi-kit by Jessica Sprague downloaded from CK, Edge Layers Overlays by Suzanne Walker downloaded from Digital Scrapbook Place and a brush from PSE.

About ME:
I am Marian King and have been a member of PS for a while now but usually in lurker mode. So glad for the PS Blog challenge. It's an opportunity to finish an LO. I am married and have two daughters and one grand-daughter. My daughters enjoy scrapbooking with me when they have the time. I am trying to learn digital scrapbooking using Photoshop Elements although I enjoy the feel and look of real paper and embellishments more. I have always enjoyed crafts - from baking, cake decorating, paper mache, cross stitch, beading, candle making, making hair accessories, stamping, cardmaking and scrapbooking. I also want to learn to use a sewing machine so I can make throw pillows and baby dresses. You can view some of my LOs at www.making.multiply.com.

Ms Marian, I loved that you included your eyes in the photo instead of just taking a picture of your eyeglasses lying somewhere. Makes us see that the glasses are really part of you and not just an inanimate object. Very cool LO. But I'm still excited to see your traditional works. Maybe the next entry, traditional na? :-)

ms marian! pati ikaw digiscrapper na rin! this LO has simple elegance, just like your trad LOs...well, actually your trad LOs are hardly simple but always elegant. perhaps just like the lady who does them.

bilib naman ako sayo, you're so lucky. only 2 years ago did you use glasses...ako since grade 4 tapos now pa, i'm already having farsightedness, aside from myopia and astigmatism...nyak di ba?

your pug is soooo cute too...dapat one of these challenges, may scrap-a-pet din tayo!

Tama ka diyan Ms. Marian. I, myself, resisted for almost 2 years in getting myself reading glasses. Hindi kako sya aesthetically pleasing sa mukha ko. Aesthetic-aesthetic ka diyan, nang di ko na nakikita ang nasa harapan ko, I was eventually forced to get myself a pair. Actually, like you, I have several pairs... isa sa scrap nook, isa sa bag, and I intend to get another one for the office. Sigh - sign of the times na talaga.
