Tennis Champ

Raissa says, KAYA!

This is my very first digital layout. I hope you guys like it.

Journaling:
This is my first tennis racket which I bought with my own money. Its rather old and dirty but I love it because its the first racket that I got used to. Its A Head Tritech which I saved up for some time. This racket will always be special to me for it reminds me of my hardships in training, my first tournaments, and the triumphs and loses I went through in this sport.

Materials Used:
CS, Quote/subtitle, Title: Erica Hernandez Vibe Kit (Two Peas in A bucket); Photo corners: ScrapGirls Refresh Kit; Photo anchor, ribbon and ribbon slide: Dawn Webb's Autumn's Coming Kit; Tag: Rhona Farrer free love tag (Creating Keepsakes).

About ME:

I'm Raissa, a 29 year-old single, who's probably the only person here in Vigan hooked to this hobby. I got into scrapbooking when I chanced upon old scrapbook magazines in a book sale. I just started last November 2006 but has been hooked ever since. Even if I'm fairly new to this craft, I believe that joining challenges will help develop my skills. Furthermore, scrapping to me is a great stress buster and a good outlet for creativity, so win or lose, I SCRAP. I'm also into tennis, photography, nature trips and swimming and I'm trying to learn digital scrapbooking and card making too. I hope that one day i will be able to influence more people here to join me in this wonderful hobby. (Learn more about Raissa at www.purplesea-lookingforanswers.blogspot.com.)

Aba Raissa, you tried digi scrapping na rin! That is so great! i also would like to try digi-scrapping, pero sa sobrang kabagalan ng internet namin, pag download pa lang ng free kits, suko na ako kaagad. Thanks for joining the challenge!

Hi Raissa. Nakahanap ka din ng favorite thing mo! I like the grids on the paper that you used, parang yung net nung tennis racket. Great idea to scrap something that has been with you in good and bad times.

hi raissa! i play tennis too girl!!! hahahaha o aside from reading meron pa pala akong kaperaho ng sports dito, kaya lang di ko fave ang tennis racket ko eh hahaha i like the ala-rubon effect on the journaling.

hi raissa! type ko yung overlapping letters and the grunge font you used. makes the LO look edgy and bagay sa sporty content.

at naku tennis player ka pala...i tried that when i was younger pero ayaw yata talaga sa kin ng mga sport na may bola...i think i have bad hand-eye coordination kasi di ko sila matamaan! e kasi ang instinct ko if there is an object coming at me at high speed e di ba dapat umilag!...heheheh

thanks for the nice words people! its good to know some of us have similar interests aside from scrapping.

Donna, fave ko racket ko kasi tennis helped me a lot before to get through trying times. Sounds silly pero kinakausap ko pa yan. LOL! Problem lang minsan i have to choose between playing or scrapping. kaya medyo napapabayaan ko tennis ko. sayang tuloy membership fee ko.

Au, it took me a while to learn din the sport. I got hit several times and got hit once in the eye pa. I got sore eyes after that. Pero after a while instinct na lang na parang alam mo na where the ball's coming from, san sya mag-dro-drop ganun. Pero pag gabi (even w/ lights) di ko na rin makita bola. Haba no? Love ko kasi tlaga tennis.

Jenn, as always, you inspire me with your kind words. It takes a lot of patience nga kasi tagal magload pag malaki na file.

Lee, tama ka dyan, good and bad times tlaga pinagdaanan namin nyan. Kaya nga kinakausap ko pa yan e. Lalo na during a game. Pero I don't pretend it replies. Di ako kasing weird nung girl sa PBB na nagrereply pa para sa dolls na kausap nya. LOL!

Hi, Raissa! Great job on the digital LO! Hilig ko din ang tennis kaso wala sha hilig sa kin, hahaha! I tried to learn it in the 80s, but didn't have the time to pursue :)

Thanks Christine! OO nga you have to find time to devote din sa sport na to kasi hirap nya rin i-master. Hanggang ngayon, after two years, i'd say na i'm still learning the different techniques. Kaso ngayon wala na rin ako time kasi naagaw na ng scrapping ang time ko. Wehehehe!
