KAYA 15 - Scrap a Sketch

2008 for yours truly has been quite interesting, my DD is off to college, moving to a new home , new ventures . . . that said, we also usually also let go to make room for all things new.

Just as we usually scrap, we want to grow out of our comfort zone and dabble with themes and even techniques not tried before. Perhaps if you often made a girly layout, how about making one that's more graphic? Or if you always scraplifted one layout, how about scraplifting a combination of 5 layouts?

But how to start?

On those mojo-less days, what gets me going is a good sketch. Whether it's from our favorite sketch sites, or seeking inspiration from fellow scrappers a sketch is a great way to get your creative juices flowing.

So have a go at my humble sketch for our July Kaya:

Here are the requirements for this months Kaya:
  1. LO's must be 8 1/2 x 11 OR 12x12, either Digital or Traditional
  2. Follow the sketch as you please, you can copy it exactly, move it upside down, move elements here and there. As long as you have the essence of the sketch, you're good to go.
  3. Use any materials you wish.
  4. The theme of your LO must be LETTING GO. Whether you have a child off to his first day of kindergarten, letting go of your favorite sweater or foregoing dessert (heaven forbid!). You get the picture :-)
  5. And of course, have fun!
  6. Deadline for this challenge is on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 11:59 pm.
a Birthday month . . .
TO all PS Kaya participants:
July is my birthday month and I was so happy that I got assigned for Kaya 15. Other than prizes for the random picks for the Traditional and Digital Layout, here's an additional incentive . . . as thanks to you, my fellow PSers for sharing so much inspiration since our first Kaya challenge, the FIRST 5 participants to upload their LO's by 12:00AM (Philippine time) July 23, 2008 to the Kaya Challenge Blog gets a small prize from me! Soooo time to get a scrappin'!
