Life Happens

Sheryl says, KAYA!

Am now counting the days 'til THE day when I finally meet my lovely Sofia Elise "Maia" E. Martinez. My OB advised that I should be doing a lot of walking but this afternoon, I found myself engrossed with this layout:

Journaling:
Life happens. And I await another wonderful reason for being alive. -6/2/07

Materials/Techniques Used: : CS: SEI Simple Sets (White & Fuschia Pink); PPS: DCWV; Vellum; Urban Lily's Urban Cut Accens & Alphabet; Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Black Soot); I-kan-dee Chalks; Creative Memories Bright Fine Tips; Buttons & Flower Accents

About ME
:

Am a working mom who just realized I will never be a domestic goddess and happy about the fact. :-) "Mamam" to DD Lilaa (17months old) and another DD coming in June 2007. Rekindled my love affair with Scrapbooking in May 2006, this time using acid-free/lignin-free/PVC-free materials and is quite obssessed about it. A no-fuss scrapbooker who follow no rules and no limits. Can finish several layouts in one sitting and has been nicknamed a 'lean-mean scrapping machine', but of course, only when I'm in the mood. I love the freedom of creation that scrapbooking brings. It allows creative license and at the same time, it affords me to record, in a very creative and delightful manner, my family's memories to last more than a lifetime. I also c0-own and co-manage an online bookstore Bookoto.com with a good friend and kababayan Julie Kelly who is also a member of Pinoy Scrapbookers.

touched naman ako that you were able to create a layout kahit malapit ka na manganak. i love the photo you used, for sure baby maia would love this layout when she's old enough to understand.

take care always!

I love your LO! I wish I had pictures of my naked tummy when I was pregnant (hehe). What a way to start this baby's picture collection! I love the journal tag and most of all the title. At first I thought you cut the letters through the pink paper and vellum so that the B&W paper underneath showed through. It really looked that way!

The simplicity of the layout puts the focus on the photo. (Ganda talaga pag professional ang kumukuha ng photo.) And syempre, the motherhood theme is always sentimental and timeless.

ay super inggit ako dito. I never had a belly shot even after having 5 kids! kasi naman e...bakit ba di pa uso yun nun...i like the short and truly sweet journaling too.

Thanks ladies for the nice comments! :-) And thanks for the concept of Kaya2, it's a very challenging lo to do.
Au, re: belly shot, pwede ka pa humabol hihihi
Craftfairy, sorry but I never learned how to explain my layout processes :-(
Lee, Jenn & Hanna, thanks for the compliments ladies!

Now, may I go back to nesting? :-)

Thabks again to all who extend their welcome greeting to my little Maia. She's officially named "Sofia Regina" , dropped "elise" at the last minute because Dad insist there should only be one in the family and that's already Lilaa. Anyway, Tin, Christine, Cabbie, thank you ladies for the nice words. I thought one way of celebrating pregnancy and motherhood are photos like these to best remind us how lucky we are indeed. :-) Am glad I took the plunge and had this photo shoot.:-)
