Nina says, KAYA!
I've been browsing altered art websites lately and wanted to do a layout which looked like an Artist Trading Card. What is it about stamping that just begs one to play?
Journaling:
when you are so blessed
Materials used:
Cardstock - Basic Grey; patterned papers - Chatterbox, All My Memories; altered address book paper; chipboard - Basic Grey, All About Scrapbooking, K & Co.; tracing paper - Canson; acrylic paint; transparency - 3M; felt arrow - American Crafts; ink - Staz On, Colorbox, Ancient Page, Tsukineko Walnut Ink Antiquing solution; embossing powder; stamps used - Rhonna Farrer and Katie Pertiet for Autumn Leaves, manuscript stamp from Hero Arts, alphabet stamp from National Bookstore, butterfly rubber stamp, Craft Express.
Techniques used:
"Why so" and bracket - painted with black acrylic paint then stamped with Autumn Leaves stamps using Colorbox white ink
Butterfly and book plate - stamped image with Colorbox white ink then heat embossed with black glitter embossing powder, inked edges with Colorbox red ink
Flower - stamped Hero Arts stamp with Staz On
Journaling - stamped Autumn Leaves handwritten journaling stamp and "blessed" swirly stamp on transparency, adhered with brads
"Grumpy" - stamped alphabet letters on white chipboard circles with Colorbox white, then embossed with white embossing powder, spritzed with Tsukineko ink
Patterned paper behind "grumpy" - spritzed also with Tsukineko ink
Address book paper - painted with gesso, stamped with Craft Express lines stamp using Ancient Page
Photo of the house - printed on light yellow cardstock, layered another photo of the same house printed on vellum, used white acrylic paint as glue
Photo of me as a child and our old house - edited in Paint.net
About ME:
Twenty-nine years old, stay-at-home mom to a 3-year-old boy named Matt. I started scrapping in March 2006, using a piece of illustration board and some cut-out pictures of postcards.
I really love scrapbooking even though we sometimes have issues.

Nina! What a wonderful LO! whew, i thought my this months challenge was so hard wala pa nag post. You have no idea how happy I was when I saw a new LO hehe and a great one at that :-) ATC's are truly inspiring and for you to turn it into a LO is doubly great. I love the elements you put together and the space, ganda talaga! TFS!!!
WHOA, NINA! You and Tin are staking the aim so high hindi ko na ata masundan - hahaha. Lalo tuloy ako ninenerbiyos mag-submit ng entry ko :p Seriously speaking though... this is absolutely loovveelly! The warm color of your CS perfectly sets up the mood for the pictures - warm and nostalgic. Plus, the title, journaling block and your baby picture formed the perfect triangular balance which framed the focal picture of your home. What else can I say, but WOW!
gorgeous lo! stamping is really one of ur strengths and i love love everything in this one :)
great layout nina. you really made the whole layout look dreamy and very very classy! you really have lots and lots of ideas brewing, your talent always amaze me.i love the distressing look talaga!!!! the "grumpy" shadow really made a standout.
Ibang klase talaga. Hay, naku. Yan ba ang "confused style"? Pwes, i-market na yan. I like the sentiment too, especially these days when I'm really more than just grumpy about almost everything. Thanks for reminding me that I should be counting my blessings instead.
wow, ganda ganda naman nito.
madalas ko tong babalik balikan para sa inspirasyon.
