Marissa says, KAYA!
Stranded: Chapter 2
After a few days stranded on an island, I decided I have to do something to keep my sanity! I opened my precious scrapping luggage which saved me from drowning as I don’t really know how to swim. Everything was ruined except for some supplies I placed in an air-tight Ziploc freezer bag. A photo of Christina; plain cardstocks: blue for my background [just like the skies above me as I sat on the beach checking each item in the bag]; yellow like the pale flowers that bloomed in the distance lining up the horizon where most of the greenery is found; orange like the afternoon sun that will soon set in a few hours; green like the kelp washed up on the beach, and white…like the sand between my toes. As I scrounge around a little bit more, there scattered on the shore beside me are colored fine-tipped Sharpies, pencils, pens, and some pieces of crayons [must belong to someone else as I don’t remember bringing any]. I rescued my glue stick floating in shallow waters among the rocks. What is that glint I see on the sand?! Yeyyy!!!! My tiny folding scissors!
Technique:
Everything on my LO is hand-drawn, hand-cut, and made from cardstocks from the DCWV Summer and Spring Stacks [except for the photo]. The journaling is from the song “You Are So Beautiful to Me” by Joe Cocker.
If you want to find out details of how I made my LO, check it out here. Thank you for looking.
About Me:
I am CraftFairy. I love to make crafts to give away as gifts. I’ve made a few bucks crocheting baby blankets, making Christmas decorations, mini dolls, and jewelry. Making money out of my crafts was not really a full- or part-time job for me. It just came in spurts when I get requests from friends. There came a time I didn’t do any crafting and more of chatting on the internet. DH said I should change my name to Chat Fairy [haha!]. The biggest amount I got for a one-time job I did was enough to get me a Cricut Expression and an extra cartridge! All I did was design flyers for a couple of friends’ catering business. The agreed-upon payment was supposed to be free home-cooked meals every now and then. Who would have “thunk” that they’ll fall in love with the logo I designed that they decided to buy it from me! Hmmm….. looks like I have another hidden talent… or was it just pure luck?

Wow, Marissa! Who needs an Expression when you can cut all those gorgeous flowers and swirls by hand! Really great job on this one!
Thanks. Just when I got my Expression I was like, man...I can't use it for this Challenge! But I'm used to making almost everything on my scrapbooks, long before supplies became popular.
