I love my son to bits. But I've started to run out of words and the inspiration to keep scrapping Matt's photos. He has tons too so I don't think I'll ever finish them. Anyone have any suggestions on who else to turn to for inspiration on boys' layouts? I can only think of the fabulous Ali Edwards kasi.
So I decided to just have fun and do a layout on our house (which is actually my Mom's house) because I wanted to do these fun cut-outs of a tree, a bird, and a tree branch.
I was inspired by these rubber stamps I saw online, which was basically a leafless tree trunk and an oval shadow stamp for the leaves. I was also inspired by the birds and branches chipboard from Maya Road. So, starting from the cut-out tree, the rest of it came together.

Journaling:
Our House
... which is not our own.
... with a blue roof and rusted gate.
... with a garden of weeds and wildflowers.
... where a tiny family lives.
... is a place we call home.
Materials used:
cardstock, black marker, black pen
Techniques used:
Paper piecing; used a puncher for the bird, butterfly and tear drops for the petals of one of the flowers; everything else was cut freehand
About ME:
I've been scrapping since March 2006. I was doodling with black sign pens on plain white paper in college. At 8, I was cutting out and pasting comic strips from the newspaper in a folder of collated paper. At present, I'm into altered art, ATCs and ATDs. To me, they're all the same form of expressing myself through paper.
Even though I initially didn't like Donna 'coz of this challenge (haha, joke lang po), I realized that oo nga naman, I should also use my stash of cardstock. I'm pretty good at improvising with what I have because scrapbooking, to me, isn't just about using up my stash but doing it in a creative way.
This was a fun challenge, D. Thanks for the inspiration.
