Christine says, KAYA! Uhm, pretty challenging challenge! Haha! No patterned papers, no embellishments, no inking/stamping, no nothing! Ack! So Tuesday, 2 October, while I was having my lunch break, I tried to think about something that might actually work and I ended up sketching on the back of my lunch receipt. I had to attend to several other matters in the last couple of days so I was only able to execute my plan today. whew! thank goodness I can now say, KAYA! =)
Journaling: for now... & always
Materials Used: CS: Bazzill; Markers: Sharpie and Zig; Colored Pencil: EK Success
Techniques Used: Traced around a flower (which I found on the island. cool! it looks exactly like Heidi Swapp's flowers! :)) - and colored it in with a colored pencil
About ME: Married, with 2 kids - DD 7 and DS 4, part-time lecturer on restaurant operations. I have been scrapping on and off since 1984 using non-archival safe products (because I thought the acid-free stuff around that time looked cheesy, haha). I converted to the "other side" in 2006 when I saw gorgeous acid-free papers and other supplies. I've also dabbled in other crafts such as cross-stitching and candle-making. Oh wow! You're good, girl! I like how you did the sketch, and executed it and it looks like you are having a lot of fun doing it. It turned out to be quite perfect! I love it.
Taking into account the busy-ness of this season, the latest challenge shall run from November 14 to December 20, 2009. We hope this will give people more time to enjoy the creation without the pressure of hectic schedules and deadlines.
Our current challenger is a dear friend of KAYA! She always joins the challenges as often as her busy schedule permits. This is also the second time she is sponsoring a challenge. She is a stamper, a cardmaker and scrapbooker extra-ordinaire. When we grow up, for sure, we'd all like to be Marian.
GET READY FOR CHRISTMAS! Click here to see what the challenge entails. Please pay close attention to the requirements. Deadline of submission is on December 20, 2009, 11:59 PM, Manila time.
Take the PS Challenge

REMINDER: All submissions must be new and made in response to the Kaya! challenge. You may share your layouts in your blog or other galleries after it has been submitted to Kaya.
Tell the challengers you like their layouts in the comments section of their entries. It will take only a few minutes and it will certainly be most appreciated.
