Cousins

Alby says, KAYA!

For this layout, I used Yana's picture again, though this time, her cousin Sophie joined her in the picture. The photo was taken by her dad last year using a black and white film which was scanned to get the digital image. Anyway, I fell in love with this photo the first time I saw it. Yana and Sophie are just too cute!!! I wanted to use this in last month's challenge but as I mentioned that time, the actual picture I used then perfectly matched the digital papers. So I am thankful for the chance to use the pic in this month's challenge.

Journaling:
Cuteness runs in the family (Yana & Sophie, aged 4 & 2)

Materials Used:
Cardstock (Fabriano), Watercolor (Rembrandt), Pens (Staedler Triplus), Adhesive (Elmer's Craft Bond)

Techniques Used:
I drew flowers and leaves on cardstock, painted them and cut them. No two flowers/leaves are exactly alike in shape, size or color. I also doodled on the cardstock using watercolor. This was very easy to put together. I just spent a bit of time letting the paint dry before cutting the leaves and flowers using scissors.

About Me:
Hi I'm Alby! I'm married to my very indulgent hubby, Ariel, who is also my number one fan in scrapping. Been scrapping since 2005 but only got to know about acid-free scrapping since last year. I love scrapping because it helps me showcase my photos creatively. It is my stress buster and my "me time". I love that each layout gives me different experience so I am never bored. I scrap because I want to remember the details of how I lived my life because sometimes, I only remember the big picture. I prefer paper scrapping because I love to touch the layouts, look at hidden journaling, feel the dimension with my fingers, explore pockets and inserts, and I just love the whole interactive feel. However, I've also recently started digital scrapping and I love how it connects me to my favorite hobby even when I am away from my precious scrapping stash. You may see some of my work at www.scrap-my-life.blogspot.com.

Thanks Donna! You know, I was excited to join this challenge. Usually kase I'd rather join with a digital entry. But when I read we can use watercolors, I just knew what to do. So, here it is!!!
