KAYA 19 - CHALLENGE #2

I am in awe with the number of entries for our first challenge. Give yourselves a pat at the back for standing up to the challenge. Now for our next one:

NEGATIVE SPACE

According to wikipedia: Negative space, in art, is the space around and between the subject(s) of an image.

It gives your eyes a place to rest. Another term for negative space is white space. Contrary to what the name suggests, white space need not be white in color. Let us use as an example your scrapbook page. You can use any background color you want in place of white. Also, the background does not have to be plain. A paper with a very simple pattern is also acceptable as long as it doesn't compete with the elements on your page . If you use a paper with a very busy and large pattern, then you wouldn't be giving the eyes a space to rest.

The challenge is to create a page focusing on negative space. It would be much better if the scale of the area with the elements is much smaller than the area of your negative space.

Due date is on November 16, 2008 (Sunday) at 11:59pm
